You will have, recently, received a document from the CPS entitled “Equality and Diversity – Expectations Statement for the Bar”.
The stated expectation from both the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Chairman, Bar Council is that “Chambers implement the Expectations Statement” and “report progress to their local Joint Bar and CPS Advocate Selection Committee”.
In many cases there is only a twelve month window in which to develop this work.
How mayhelp you to meet the requirements?

- A programme of supported learning and development [workbook based and adapted from material developed for Oxfordshire County Council {4 star rated}] to involve all members of your organisation. This will comprehensively meet requirement 3.5 of the statement [Training on equality and diversity].
- A series of “Awareness Raising” workshops, of 1 or 2 Days duration, which aim to introduce concepts and encourage participants to think about issues surrounding equality and diversity. Requirement 3.5
